In JESUS Name Medical Ministry is a non-profit organization that partners Christian doctors and local area churches together to provide FREE medical care to people in need. Our clinics are available to ANYONE, whether you have insurance, or not!
Our team of medical and non-medical professionals are dedicated to helping all people from all backgrounds without exception and regardless of age, race, ethnicity, income, religious affiliation, disability, or any other circumstances.
If Jesus were to physically step into our culture today, as He did 2,000 years ago, what do you think He would do? We believe He would reach out to people in need. Today, this would likely include people with no, or insufficient healthcare coverage, and difficulties taking care of basic healthcare needs. We believe Jesus’ heart is to go out to these people, see their need, and hasten to help. He would go to them; He would show them His love and tell them about the Gospel message. This is what He would do!
Our History
In Jesus Name Medical Ministry (IJN) was founded by Dr. Scott Southard in the Northern Nevada and California area more than 17 years ago and has since facilitated more than 250 clinics, cared for over 7,000 patients, and has been able to provide approximately 85 surgeries for people at no cost.
Dr. Southard has the vision to expand the ministry nationally to as many cities as possible in the United States. Multiple cities are now serving the Lord in this capacity
WHAT WE DO
Our team heads out to a host church or organization somewhere in the region where we set up a FREE medical clinic for the day. With a team of medical and non-medical volunteers (this number is defined by each location), and in partnership with volunteers from the local church, we transform the designated building space into a temporary medical clinic for the day. Multiple physicians from various specialties are often available including Family Practice, Orthopedic, Pediatrics, Allergy, Internal Medicine, Optometry, etc. Some locations offer X-rays, Dental, Vision and Laboratory services. All our medical and administrative personnel involved with the ministry are volunteers who are professing Christians who use their God given gifts in serving The Lord. They are each acting in accordance with the words of Jesus in Matthew 25:40 when He said:
“… Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of
mine, you did for me”

WHY WE DO IT
We do it because WE CARE like Jesus cares. His love for others resides in us. We live out HIS compassion, just as He would!
IJN clinics provide FREE medical services to vulnerable individuals and families who go without quality medical care. Individuals who come to us for help are seen without consideration of their financial status, station in life, nationality, or faith. They are seen on a first-come, first-served basis, and are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect, just as Jesus would treat them.
WHO IS IT FOR?
This FREE service is for ANYONE in need, for people with insufficient healthcare coverage (either insured, underinsured, or no insurance at all).
